PROCEDURE
OF APPLYING FOR EXHIBITION ROOMS: a. In
order to reserve space and date of an exhibition it is necessary to present
an Application Form (FUT) with attached: ·
Currículum Vitae. ·
Photos of the works to be exhibited,
not less than 4 for an individual exhibition and not less than 1 per
participant in case of a joint exhibition. ·
One original work in case if it is
required by the Evaluation Committee. ·
Agreement of fulfilment of the present
regulations by the applicant (Sworn Statement), according to the form
attached. This document in the case of foreign artists, can be sent by e-mail
or fax. ·
The documents presented constitute
part of the Museum archives, consecuently it will not be returned to the
applicants. b. The
applications are considered in the entry order. c. The
aproval of an exhibition is determined by the Evaluation Committee, its
decisión is unappealable. The Evaluation Committee consists of the Director
of the Museum of Contemporary Art and two experts assigned by the
Municipality or the Museum. d. The
Museum of Contemporary Art provides formal invitations for artists of
distinguished artistic merits. e. The
works should be presented at the Museum at least 24 hours before the
exhibition opening. f.
The artists who present individual
exhibitions, have to donate one of the exhibited works to the Museum; in the
case of a joint show, at least 2 of
the works of the exhibition should be donated; the works to be donated should
be chosen in coordination between the atist and the Director of the Museum, a
necessary requirement is the high professional level. The Museum signs a
Reception Certificate for the work, in order to register it as the Heritage
of the Municipality of Cusco. g. The
Municipality of Cusco considers all the works that are not dithdrawn from the
Museum storage for 3 months after the exhibition, as Municipal property. h. In
the Exhibition Rooms 1 and 2 can exhibit only profesional and / or well-known
artists, whose merits in the artistic field are proved by the quality of
their works as well as by their experience. i.
An artist who does not fulfil present
his works in time for the planned exhibition is not permitted to exhibit at
the Museum during a period of 2 years. |
